Fruit Bar/ Toffee
Fruit Bar/ Toffee means the product prepared by blending Pulp/Puree from sound ripe
fruit, fresh or previously preserved, nutritive sweeteners, butter or other edible
vegetable fat or milk solids and other ingredients appropriate to the product &
dehydrated to form sheet which can be cut to desired shape or size.
The product may contain food additives permitted in these regulations including
Appendix A.
The product shall conform to the microbiological requirements given in
Appendix B. The product
shall comply with the following requirements:—
1.Moisture (m/m) – Not more than 20.0 percent
2.Total soluble solids (m/m) – Not less than 75.0 percent
3.Fruit content (m/m) – Not less than 25.0 percent
