Product Registration is also accepting brands that have a trademark pending registration in a subset of trademark offices (see country-specific requirements section).

Several products (Allopathy Medicine,Ayurvedic Medicine,Homeopathy Medicine,Unani,Siddha,Cosmetics,Bakery & Snacks,Candies,Nutrition Supplement,Juice,Milk & Milk Product, Alcohol,Pesticides,Soft Drink,Chocolate Product,Oil,Ice Cream,Sauces & Chutneys,Honey,Dry Fruit,Perfume & Deo,Sharbat, Namkeen,Sea Food,Spices,Pickle,Fertilizers,Tea,Dairy,Salt etc.) mandatorily requires testing as per various regulatory bodies, but some of the products (such as furniture, stationery, etc.) do not require any mandatory testing.

The size or quantity of sample required depends upon the type and number of test parameters like number and type of test required, product to be tested and testing methods.

Regular quality control checks ensure consistent quality and prevents costly recalls or warranty claims. Even if the product performs flawlessly, then also it needs to be tested prior export to any foreign country.

In-house laboratories may not have proficiency in all areas and may face issues like lack of expertise for different products testing. Testing in an independent testing lab ensures integrity along with unbiased results.
